Which Platforms are going to be relevant in 2024? (Including Algorithm Changes)

A  New Year means that there are going to be changes. However social platforms aren’t going to change as much. There are some platforms that might be of note but the platforms will still be around. Because of the algorithm changes in 2024 there might be a change in how the platforms function but the platforms will still stick around. Here is a list of social media that are going to be relevant in 2024.


  1. Instagram: Instagram is going to be relevant in 2024 as well. With 358.6 million active users in India alone. This will make it one of the most used applications for social media. It will remain one of the most popular social medias until some other popular apps come into the picture. This app is used by all large companies for Digital Marketing and the number of people who use Instagram will only continue to increase which will lead to more eyes for Digital Marketing.

  2. Facebook: Despite the number of people who use Instagram more people use Facebook. With 3 billion people using it worldwide. Facebook is also mainly used by an older population. They tend to share things with the people they know so it can be great to highlight your company/products.

  3. X (Formerly Twitter): X has a lot of users. The word limit of a tweet on X leads to the company to get creative with its captions and promotions. There are many young adults who use this app. So this can be great to get your products to be viewed by a younger demographic. This social media isn’t used as much in India for Digital Marketing but large companies do use X to market themselves so if your company is large and has a presence then it can be used effectively. 

  4. Youtube: Youtube is the largest video streaming platform. It has billions of people who are active viewers. This leads to a great way to showcase your company or product to a general audience. This can be through ads or the company’s own Youtube videos. The longevity of Youtube will make it so that this platform will survive and Youtube has a very ad friendly approach as well.

  5. LinkedIn: LinkedIn is a website that is more oriented for Professional Settings but this app can be used to showcase the growth of your company. This also in a sense forms Digital Marketing which makes it useful for many purposes. LinkedIn can also be used to increase networks and business relations which is extremely important for company longevity. 


The LinkedIn algorithm doesn't promote posts with that are general. It promotes content that is relevant to the viewers. So it is advised to make content that is specific to get a loyal following.

This is because of their high number of users which will lead to many many people becoming aware about the product or company. This will lead to the development of the company.
